About Brittany

Hi, my name is Brittany McGowan and I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama. I am an Elementary Education major and my passions are teaching, being a good friend and Christian, and Alabama Football. I am attending the University of South Alabama because my fiance is in the Jaguar Marching Band and I have heard really great things about the educational program down here.
I am the oldest of three girls in my family and that would total 4 women in one house. I also have a puppy named, Angel, and she is my pride and joy. She and my sisters dog, Bear, and my other sister's cat, Jack, who thinks he is a dog, all live in Birmingham with my mom ,but I visit all the time. I love animals and plan to have a farm someday.
I have since I was little loved to help my sisters and friends with homework and even use to play school when I was about four or five. I am a very passionate person and when I find something that bothers me I will do everything in my power to change it or find the people who can. I was inspired early on with my love of school because of the wonderful and encouraging elementary teachers that I had. I know that if children do not like school in the first few years then they are more likely to either not perform well or even drop out. This outrages me and I want to show every child the joy of learning and inspire them as I was inspired.
The most important thing to know about me is that I am a Christian and that God has blessed me with the most wonderful fiance in the world, Shaffer, and we are getting married on June 2, 2012. He is my reason for everything that I do and is my best friend. Also I love my friends: Ashley, Jacob, and Matt, and spend as much time as possible with them and Shaffer. My life is surrounded by the ones I love. Also as crimson tide fans all over the world say, "Roll Tide".
